USE THE RIGHT CUTTING BOARDS
A wrong surface such as marble, china, porcelain, or stainless steel countertops you’re putting on can easily damage your knife. Those surfaces can harm cutting-edge retention. We recommend using wooded or plastic cutting boards. Do remember to clean the boards after each use.

HAND-WASH IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We know that dishwasher is a more convenient to clean knives. However, hand-wash is highly recommended as it’s gentler and much better to keep the cutting edge retention. Please clean your knives under lukewarm water with a mild detergent, and dry them with a non-scratch cloth or sponge. Careful cleaning ensures a long lifespan.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
RUST
No metal is completely stainless. Acidic foods may cause some slight tarnishing. So please clean the knife right away after use. You can remove rust spots on a carbon steel blade with a “Rust Eraser”. Wet the eraser and rub the spot with light pressure in one direction parallel to the blade’s pattern. Wipe the blade clean and dry it with a paper towel.

PATINA
Carbon steel knives will turn dark gray or black over time. To minimize this patina, please wash, and wipe the blade immediately after you cut highly acidic foods.

BONES
Please note that our knives are not made to cut bones. Also please do not use them for poking, prying, separating, or cutting semi-frozen or frozen foods.

MISUSE
Please do not use our knives as screwdrivers or can openers. It’s just not their designated purpose and may result in bending or breaking. And our warranty does not cover misuse.

PROPER KNIFE STORAGE
Safe and proper storage for your knives is required after use. Here are some ways we recommend for knife storage.

KNIFE BLOCK
A knife block is a really safe place to store your knives. Some blocks are also designed with sharpeners inside. They sharpen your knives each time you remove them or return them to the block.

MAGNETIC BAR
With a magnetic bar you are able to view and easily access your knives. They attach to the wall and firmly hold knives in place.

KNIFE CASE
A knife case is a good way to transport your knives. Make sure to protect the cutting edge of the blades with knife sheaths.
